4.01 Edit Jam
Edit Jam is a confluence of imaginative minds at the EdLab Design Center. We use both analog and digital tools — such as computers, the turntable, the digital video camera, the sewing machine — to create materials collectively, simultaneously, live and uncut. All participants play a role in the creative process, and workstations are set up with which users are able to interact with artists and their processes.
Edit Jam explores new territories of collaborative production, where participants operate not only as solitary artists, but rather as a component of a creative circle as they work with analog and digital technologies, media, energies, and ideas. Participants experience being connected to others through text, audio, and video. With the simultaneous use of these tools, new modes of expression, interactivity, and connectivity are experienced.
See What is an Edit Jam? (below) for more information about these events.
