Never be afraid to take on a new challenge. Often times,
they can turn out to be the most rewarding experiences. Several years ago, I
was given the opportunity to teach a graduate course in Financial Management at
the NYU School of Professional Studies, with less than one week’s notice! As a
fresh MBA graduate, I was anxious, but I knew I couldn’t pass up this incredible
chance. Over the course of the semester, not only did I improve as a
communicator, an educator, and a mentor, but I learned as much from my
students, as they learned from me.
It Is this passion for teaching and continual learning that
has drawn me to EdLab. As the Director of Administrative Solutions, I oversee
the budget and the day-to-day operations for the Gottesman Libraries. At EdLab,
learning never stops. Whether leading or participating in a seminar or
workshop, we constantly have the opportunity to teach and learn from one
another.
