Pravin Sathe is an Innovation Researcher at the EdLab atelier. He received his Master's degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and his BA from NYU double majoring in Politics and Economics.
In the past he has worked on the development of Microbeam Radiation Therapy (MRT) under Dr. Avraham Dilmanian at Brookhaven National Laboratory's Medical Department. While there he was published in two peer-reviewed journals.
He became an NYC Teaching Fellow in 2003 and taught Mathematics at Washington Irving High School.
He has continued to work with artists Tony Oursler, Steven Montgomery, Jacqueline Humphries, Rosa Barba, Barbara Bloom, Constance de Jong, Rohitash Rao, Ugly Pictures and others on various digital projects.
His work "Suspended on a Road from Here to There" was most recently displayed at the ITP Spring Show 2008, and "How You See It" at CUNY Hunter College. He received a grant from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) to finish his interactive piece,
