Kafoumba Doumbia is currently a rising Junior at State University of New York Institute of Technology (SUNY IT), where he is majoring in electrical and computer engineering to become a software engineer. He is interested in building applications that can improve and enhance learning for all students.
A native of Ivory Coast, Kafoumba moved to New York in 2010 and graduated from Marble Hill School in in 2013. At EdLab, Kafoumba works on digitizing Teachers College’s historical collections to make it accessible to students, faculty, researchers and the rest of the community. He also works on completing library requests via DocDel and supports EdLab projects such as Vialogues and New Learning Times by creating content and raising awareness.
Kafoumba is a soccer enthusiast. He played varsity for three years in high school and helped the team win its first citywide title. He currently plays for SUNY IT’s mens soccer team and is an alum of South Bronx United.
