Loriana Donovan is a library associate at the Gottesman Library at Teachers College. Loriana graduated in 2020 from Queens College with a BA in History and a minor in Modern Greek language. She is currently pursuing a joint master’s degree in history and library science, where she is planning to obtain two certifications in youth services and archiving and preservation. She studies records that are often overlooked such as oral accounts, memorials, and newspapers as well as how these sources align with governmental policies of that current time. She plans on venturing into the world of PhDs after graduating where she wishes to study Modern Greek Memory theory surrounding the Communist Resistance in Greece post World War II. Loriana knows for sure she wants to work as a librarian, but has not decided on a teen librarian or reference librarian.
