Upcoming EdTech Take & Talk: Story Pirates
Creative writing was by far my favorite part of elementary school. What I loved even more than receiving Scholastic Book Club forms was the class time to write ridiculous stories and share them with friends. So I'm really jazzed about interviewing the co-founder of Story Pirates, Lee Overtree, for our latest EdTech Take/Talk episodes this afternoon. He'll be discussing his education and media organization that helps students write their own stories and then brings them to life in musical and comedy shows and videos performed by actors, comedians, cartoons and sometimes even PUPPETS. Keep an eye out for Vialogues on this inspirational organization that motivates students to develop an essential life skill. It works because “when we celebrate their story, they start thinking about writing in a different way...” Monster hands, emergency ponchos, and poisonous snakes: watch the background behind this cool education and media organization, The Story Behind Story Pirates, and then watch “The Jacques and the Evil Man” as told by Conan O'Brien! 6 o'clock ding ding, 9 o'clock ding ding.
