Data Analysis
Lin, Ivan and I have completed our data analysis. For complete details, please download our handouts in PDF format. Our main observations include:
  • The rooms are being heavily booked by students and staff and rarely booked by regular faculty
  • EDD Students book rooms at higher rates compared to other student groups (i.e. - MA or PHD students)
  • The programs that use the rooms most heavily are the groups concerned with Organizations (Organizational Psychology and Organization & Leadership), followed by Adult Ed and TEOSL
  • 30% of people booking rooms live within walking distance of TC (zip code 10027). The other largest portions live near TC in the Upper West Side (~20%). A large group outside Manhattan resides in Park Slope, Brooklyn (3%).
  • Some of the most heavily used non-student-spawned programs include the Principal's Academy, Associate Dean's Office of Enrollment and Student Services (Don Martin), the Center for Technology & School Change (Ellen Meier), Visiting Fellows for Heads of Schools and the Superintendents Work Conference.
  • People book less than 8 hrs each time, with 3 hrs as the average
