Yes! I’m an Ed.M. student in the Mathematics Education program.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
In fourth grade, I realized that I was passionate about education and wanted to be a teacher.
What was your first job?
In high school, I got my first job as a teaching assistant at a small after-school program that taught English to Japanese elementary students.
What has been your best job?
Working as an undergraduate Resident Assistant at NYU was one of the most transformative experiences for me. I looked after first-year residents and gained skills that helped me grow as an emerging teacher.
Your favorite meal:
Goya Chanpuru, a quintessential Okinawan dish
Are you a morning or night person?:
I’m slightly more of a morning person. Waking up is still a struggle but I love seeing the early morning sky.
A delicious dessert:
Anything that has matcha in it! Some of my favorites are matcha chocolate, ice cream, baumkuchen, and roll cake.
