Thanks Obama: Expands Surveillance Powers Before Leaving Office
As reported in this article in the New York Times, the Obama administration has dramatically expanded the sharing of intercepted communications among U.S. intelligence agencies.  This will permit many more government officials to search through individual communications. Do we feel safer?   This action appears to ignore the advice of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and others who sent a letter urging the President to curb surveillance power. What does the public reaction (of lack of reaction) indicate about shifting conceptions of individual privacy?
