A technoPaideia Proposal

Reasoning Mind co-founder, George Khachatryan, is huge proponent of math education, but not the way most of us have come to understand it. In October of 2015, Khachatryan presented his proposal for a modern day implementation of Mortimer Adler's Paideia Proposal to enrich and elevate mathematical learning for a range of students.

Check out the talk and the related discussion on on Vialogues.

Excerpts from the discussion

@10:40 pchasigna: Sometime to make a classroom interactive the instructors must be prepared to be challenged and learn from feedback from students.

@40:00 tzaffi: "Ideal Instructional Technology School" grows out of dichotomy between classroom management (facilitator) and cognitive richness activities (instructor).

@72:00 PG.Williamson: Combining the Didactica/seminar/tutorial approach it allows the school to address the needs and learning styles of a broader range of students. Reminds me of the "1 million classrooms" question that he asked earlier in the seminar.
