California Aims to Protect Student Data from Big Businesses
EdTech businesses watch out: California Senator Darrell Steinberg is about to make student data mining nearly impossible. In an effort to protect students aged Pre-K to 12th grade, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act would prevent full student record disclosure to big edtech businesses in an effort to stop unwarranted marketing schemes.
