New Curriculum for Student Athletes
There is a widespread misconception that student athletes receive academic favoritism. This overshadows the time and effort most college athletes dedicate to their academics. Experts indicate that most employers are developing interest in hiring athletes because of the qualities they acquire through the sports.
Perhaps this initiative by the education board
in Tuscaloosa will make athletes even more marketable in the work force after they graduate from college. The program will focus primarily on teaching student athletes about the importance of sportsmanship and leadership. Leadership and teamwork are two qualities that we all becoming essential qualities in many areas. I believe schools across the nation should adopt this initiative and teach this program to the entire student body and not only student athletes.
