Professor Solves Centuries Old Equation
A lot of Individuals look displeased when they see a math problem because they find it difficult. This was not the case of a young boy who is now an Oxford professor. Andrew Wiles shocked the world when he solved a 300 year old math problem that had perplexed mathematicians for centuries. Wiles had been secretly working since the age of 10 to find a solution to the equation known as the "Fermat's Last Theorem." This problem has been a barrier to so many mathematicians. He was recently awarded $700k for solving the problem. Wiles hopes that his solution of the age old problem will inspire many young people to take up Mathematics and work on the many challenges of this beautiful and fascinating subject.
