Myths About The United States Education System
As we all know, a myth is an idea that some people holds to be true, but it usually turns out false. This is the case with the United States and education. Many people strongly believe that the United States has the best education system in the world. However, as the Vialogues below demonstrates, it is somehow struggling in K-12 education. For instance, people believe that the United States have ample amount of money to provide quality education for its students. However, the United States has the highest child poverty rate among developed countries. Individuals who are poor do not receive equal access to educational resources. Another myth about the United States education is that teachers are paid extremely well. Teachers in US schools spend more time teaching in classrooms and their salaries doesn’t equate the amount of hours they spend teaching. One of the solutions to help improve our education system is to provide resources for individuals who are desperately in need.
