Motivating Students
Learning how to motivate students is one of the hardest tasks of an educator. Motivated students tend to be more successful in the classroom. Having a class of motivated students makes time spent in the classroom enjoyable for both students and teachers. Although motivating students is a difficult task, there are five ways to help with the process.
  1. Encourage the students by being enthusiastic and constantly praising them for their hard work.
  2. Get students involved by providing student tasks and encouraging participation in the classroom.
  3. Offer incentives. This acts as an extra push and a way to reward students for their accomplishments.
  4. Get creative. Change your teaching style and the structure of the classroom.
  5. Draw connections to the real world. Students are more engaged when they know they will use it in the future.
Do you have any other tips to help teachers motivate their students?
