AWS Summit 2014 @ Javits New York
Hi, Guess for those of you who are wondering where all the developers are, I wanted to let you know that we are attending the AWS Summit 2014 at the Jacob Javits Center. This is the first time I am attending a AWS, its mind boggling to see Javits. I feel what Moscone is for San Francisco, Javits is for New York. There are over 5,000 people (I would like to say developers but I am not sure). I wasn't expecting such a big crowd. Anyway, the keynote was interesting as it was about how Amazon is vesting itself in AWS by launching enterprise applications like workspaces, new low cost ec2 instances with a enterprise application similar to dropbox for sharing documents(word documents, presentations, images), mobile application sdk for analytics, syncing of data. The big takeaway for me is using AWS to create products that will do the heavy lifting of realtime synchronization on different devices (platform agnostic) so developers can focus on design and development of their application.
