The results are from a study conducted by researchers at Harvard University. The study consisted of 200 people who had suffered some sort of abuse during their childhood. 53% of participants had suffered from depression and 40% suffered from PTSD. “The overall result of this experiment tested that early stress makes the brain less resilient to the effects of later stress,” concluded researchers.
